HDPE BL3 – High-Performance Blow Molding Grade Polyethylene

HDPE BL3

Product overview

HDPE BL3

Product overview

HDPE BL3 is a high-density polyethylene grade specifically engineered for blow molding applications. It offers excellent rigidity, good environmental stress crack resistance (ESCR), and outstanding processability. BL3 is widely used for producing bottles, containers, jerry cans, and industrial packaging requiring high strength, durability, and consistent blow molding performance.

Introduction to HDPE BL3

1

HDPE BL3 is designed for high-quality blow molding applications including bottles, containers, and industrial jerry cans.

2

It provides excellent rigidity, good impact resistance, and reliable melt strength for stable parison formation.

3

BL3 processes smoothly on both single and double-stage blow molding systems, producing high-quality molded products with consistent wall thickness.

Applications

01

Blow-Molded Bottles

Ideal for producing detergent bottles, chemical bottles, and personal care packaging.

02

Industrial Containers

Used for small to medium industrial containers and jerry cans due to its rigidity and crack resistance.

03

Household Packaging

Suitable for home care product packaging such as cleaning liquids and oils.

04

Food Contact Containers

FDA-approved for food-grade blow molding applications such as milk bottles and food storage containers.

05

Caps & Closures (Injection–Blow)

Compatible for certain closure applications where HDPE is required.

Production Processes

01

Blow Molding Process

BL3 granules are melted and extruded to form a parison. Air inflation shapes the parison inside a mold, forming rigid and durable containers.

02

Cooling, Trimming & QC

Formed containers are cooled, trimmed, and inspected for wall thickness, impact resistance, and surface quality.
